The Art of Protest, (a collaboration between Pump House Gallery and Home Live Art) culminated in a massive May Day Festival and Procession. This huge community art event transformed Battersea Park into a riot of colour, music and song. In the run up to this event Pump House Gallery worked with a range of local community groups, youth clubs, schools and participating artists in a series of creative workshops to produce banners, procession materials and folk costumes to bring to the event. The day included workshops exploring May Day folk traditions such as morris dancing, garland making, folk dancing and constume making to name but a few.
