Event Time:

Presented in the boating shelter on the lake by Pump House Gallery is the installation: Hieronymus Pop – Scenes from an imaginary Rock and Roll Concert. Pasted onto the wall as if fly posters, this series of eight comic strips is about Hieronymus Pop, a fictional glam-rock dictator created by artist Daniel Merlin Goodbrey, and his famous fictitious concert in Battersea Park in 1974.  These strips have been created by acclaimed comic artists in response to Goodbrey’s artwork in the Pump House Gallery’s exhibition “Hypercomics: The Shapes of Comics to Come”. They present different perspectives on the same event and they can be read in any order.
Artists include:
Sean Azzopardi, Joe Decie, John Cei Douglas, Ellen Lindner, Douglas Noble, Paul O’Connell
A limited edition publication of these comics (and additional episodes) is also available to buy at the gallery.
