Join in the preparations for a wedding that will be entirely knitted with Cast Off Knitting Club for Boys and Girls as part of the exhibition Ceremony at Pump House Gallery.  During gallery opening hours between the 28 September - 9 October Cast Off will be based in the gallery where members of the public, of all knitting abilities, will come together to knit this spectacular event.  The date set for the wedding ceremony and champagne reception is the 9 October 2005 also taking place at Pump House Gallery, where knitting artist Freddie Robins will get ‘married’ to her partner Ben Coode-Adams.

There will be something for knitters of all ages and levels of expertise to participate in.  Young children will work on the knitted rice and rose petal confetti, pom-poms for the dress and flower arrangements. More experienced knitters will be asked to crochet champagne bottles, icing for the wedding cake, cameras and the buffet.  Wedding guests will be encouraged to wear their own knitted creations.  The veil of the dress will be knitted from a knitting machine on wheels during the ceremony, the train getting longer and longer as the party progresses!  To top it all off the ultimate wedding DJ Nervous Stephen will be bringing out all the favourite wedding anthems so that knitters of all ages will be shaking their cross-stitch
