How can Schools use Pump House gallery to help provide high quality learning?
There are a number of ways in which Pump House Gallery can be used by local schools as a valuable learning resource.
Tour: The gallery is delighted to be able to offer FREE tours of the exhibitions to school groups. The gallery staff are experienced in dealing with a range of ages and audiences ensuring that tour content is tailored to the audience. The gallery can accommodate groups of up to 25 children. A tour normally lasts up to 30 minutes. Tours are FREE but booking is necessary.
Tour and activity sheet: To include some interactivity with the tour, Pump House Gallery are able to devise a bespoke activity sheet appropriate for the age group attending. This sheet can be completed during the tour or afterwards. A tour with activity sheet normally lasts between 45min – 1 hour. Visits and costs can be tailored to your needs. Booking necessary.
Collaborative partnership projects: Pump House Gallery is also keen to work with schools on longer specific collaborative education projects based around its exhibition programme. Please see past examples of projects for examples of previous collaborations or contact the gallery direct.
For more information about any of the above or to book a workshop and discuss your needs please contact Audience Development Officer Laura Eldret at leldret@wandsworth.gov.uk or phone on 020 7350 0523.
